The Next Segment of My Crazy Life

Well, I am doing it – acting that is!  Now if I could just find a paying role!  :-) On April 3rd, I participated in another role but this time it was for a short film which is different from my last 2 roles since they were student films….I think.  Anyway, I hope to have a copy of the short film in about 3 months.  This is how it goes.  You get fed, you get credit, and you get a copy of the short film.  But I had a lot of fun and met new people and made a new friend, Ellie.

This new expereience and adventure is just another testament to show people that once you pass the 50’s age, you don’t have to stop growing or stop trying new things.  At first, I thought maybe I was experiencing a mid life crisis.  But the truth is that I am ready and more confident to try new things more so now then I have ever been in my entire life.  I have always been adventurous in experiencing new things, but I was reluctant to push myself to do new things and there really is a difference.  We can see the world but we have to push ourselves to try new things that we thought we would never like or be able to do.  For instance, I was always camera shy.  You aren’t going to find a lot of pictures of me throughout my life.  Now, at 53, I’ve had a photo shoot, I have 27 videos on YouTube, and I have done 2 acting roles and a music video!

I can honestly say that one thing I have truly learned in my life is to never say never.  Life has a way of bringing things to you that you never thought in a million years would be of interest to you.  And the best part is that you find yourself loving it.  So open your eyes to what life offers you and take the opportunities to try new things and experience life.  If you don’t do well at one thing, at least you tried it.  New experiences are there if you open your eyes and your heart.  Life will then come find you…..  Donna
